This policy explains what personal information Damson Keep collects through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We keep the amount of information we collect to a minimum and we never sell it.

Who we are

Damson Keep is a small off-grid glamping retreat in the Tamar Valley, near Bere Alston, West Devon. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is Teresa Gregory, trading as Damson Keep. What we collect, and why

If you choose to join our mailing list through this website, we collect the email address (and name, if you give one) that you enter. We use it for a single purpose: to send you occasional updates about availability, opening dates and news from the retreat. We only do this because you asked us to, your consent is the lawful basis for this processing, and you can withdraw it at any time.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as your browser type and approximate location, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to identify you.

Bookings are made through Airbnb, not through this website. When you book, your information is handled by Airbnb under their own privacy policy, we only receive the booking details Airbnb passes to us as your hosts.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website and the mailing list. They only process your information on our instructions:

• Our email/newsletter provider, [name of provider, e.g. Brevo], stores the mailing list and sends our emails.
• Our website host, Vercel, serves the pages of this site.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it to a standard equivalent to UK data protection law. We do not share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address on the mailing list until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe. Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your details at any time by emailing us.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to:

• confirm what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information, or restrict how we use it;
• stop using it for marketing, you can withdraw consent at any time.

Cookies

This website does not set non-essential or tracking cookies of its own. If you submit the mailing-list form, the form may be provided by our email provider, which can set cookies needed to make it work. If we add website analytics in future, we will update this policy first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
