This policy explains what personal information Damson Keep collects through this website, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We keep the amount of information we collect to a minimum and we never sell it.

Who we are

Damson Keep is a small off-grid glamping retreat in the Tamar Valley, near Bere Alston, West Devon. For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is Teresa Gregory, trading as Damson Keep. What we collect, and why

This is a simple brochure website. It has no contact form, no mailing list and no accounts, so we do not ask you for any personal information directly through it.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider may automatically log basic technical information such as your browser type and approximate location, for security and to keep the site running. We do not use this to identify you.

Bookings are made through Airbnb, not through this website. When you book, your information is handled by Airbnb under their own privacy policy; we only receive the booking details Airbnb passes to us as your hosts.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the website. They only process limited technical information on our instructions:

• Our website host, Vercel, serves the pages of this site.
• Google Maps provides the embedded map showing our location, and may process limited data such as your IP address under Google's own privacy policy.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they are required to protect it to a standard equivalent to UK data protection law. We do not share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it or use it for advertising.

How long we keep it

We don't collect personal information through this website ourselves, so there is nothing for us to keep. Any technical logs are held by our hosting provider only for as long as they need them to run the service securely, and any information relating to a booking is held by Airbnb under their own policy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to:

• confirm what information we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information, or restrict how we use it.

In practice we hold very little, but you can still contact us. To exercise any of these, email teresa@damsonkeep.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website does not set tracking cookies of its own. The only third-party feature that may set cookies is the embedded Google Map showing our location, which is served by Google and may process limited data such as your IP address under Google's own privacy policy. If we add website analytics or other features in future, we will update this policy first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
